Generally speaking, I decided to not use an AV receiver as most of them do more than I need. Apart from that do AV receivers most often disallow upconverting analogue video input to HDMI. So, here is a {link:picture|space/start/2006-12-28/1/HomeCinema.png} of my setup. There is one issue though, the {link:VP30|http://www.dvdo.com} only has one YUV input, so the game consoles can only be attached one at a time.&#xD;&#xA;&#xD;&#xA;Still not perfect, especially sound-wise. But I really like my {link:Festival 500|http://www.harmankardon.com}. Thats why I need the {link:decoderstation 3|http://www.teufel.de/de/Multimedia/s_1121.cfm} to decode digital audio and feed it to the stereo system. Later on I can just replace it with an active speaker system or better.</s:content>
