1 City of Smells {anchor:City of Smells} I've been in quite a few big cities, but this one has smelly surprises everywhere. It changes all the time while you walk down a road. Today I had a special experience. I took the subway about fifteen minutes later than usual and just got into rush hour unexpected. The doors of the train opened to let out the masses but still there were many left in the train. I jumped into one of the wagons to get a place right at the door. Then the door closed and the slightly humid warmth of people in tight spaces surrounded me with the heavy smell of garlic I still recognise.
