<s:content>1 New Connectivity ... Samsung Blackjack {anchor:New Connectivity ... Samsung Blackjack}
With the introduction of {link:Apples|http://www.apple.com/} {link:iPhone|http://www.apple.com/iphone} the market has changed a lot. However, looking at the iPhone it may have a nice new interface but its more like an {link:iPod|http://www.apple.com/ipod} than a real business phone. I have checked quite a few options of replacing my nice {link:KTFT|http://www.ktftever.com} {link:EV-W100|http://news.softpedia.com/news/KTF-Launched-the-Mysterious-HSPDA-EV-W100-Cellphone-48258.shtml} with a usable business phone.

Here is my solution: The {link:Samsung Blackjack|http://search.sec.co.kr/redirectLog.jsp?userID=&site=sec.co.kr&fromMenu=sec.product&targetUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sec.co.kr%2FPCS.svl%3FCMD%3DIndex_tv%26COMM_006%3DLastGoodsPage_001%26GOODS_NO%3D146558%26dispNo%3D001024%26curDepth%3D2%26COMM_001%3D0000100020} v3
{image:img=M6200.jpg|align=float-right}

It features
- WCDMA/HSDPA (up to 3.8MB/s downstream)
- 802.11b/g Wireless LAN
- Windows Mobile 5
- L2TP IPSec and PPTP VPN support
- two cameras (VGA and 1.3 Megapixel), but thats ignorable
- Opera Mobile web browser
- Email (Outlook Mobile)

The best part however, it runs {link:fring|http://www.fring.com/} which puts these additional services on the phone:

- {link:Skype|http://www.skype.com/}
- Voice over IP (VOIP), here I put in my {link:1und1|http://www.1und1.de} account
- {link:Google Talk|http://talk.google.com}
- {link:MSN|http://im.live.com}, or Windows Live Messenger now
- {link:ICQ|http://www.icq.com}

That makes it the ultimate communications device as it allows me to make normal phone calls, call and receive via SIP (VOIP) and be available on the road by chat. In addition to that I have the ability to quickly check Email and look up web sites.

What is missing? Actually, I do miss a builtin GPS receiver, so I think about getting an external bluetooth GPS. Together with {link:Google Maps Mobile|http://www.google.com/gmm/} I won't ever get lost again.</s:content>
