Mister Tiki Mai Tai Lounge

So, after a nice day along the beach we have safely arrived in San Diego. Excellent weather here. Since the parking would be around ten dollars a day I have decided to drop off the car at the rental station and we went to downtown San Diego. Fortunately San Diego has a kind of usable public transport system, called the Trolley. Its Siemens built trams running through the city. We took the opportunity and walked around downtown and the gaslamp district.

We ended in a restaurant and bar called "Mister Tiki Mai Tai Lounge" which had excellent Mai Tais, of course, and got a decent meal with the Polynesian athmosphere. Two of Mister Mai Tais was enough to get some good sleep until eight in the morning.

Today we have meet the first of our collegues here and went to the Fashion Valley to get some breakfast. Unfortunately most of the restaurants are not really ready to server anything before eleven. Stephan and the others were disgusted when I got a Bento box from a sort-of-fast-food japanese restaurant. It was okay though.

Now the OOPSLA 2005 begins …
