Several times now I have been asked to provide a picture of what I use at home. Generally speaking, I decided to not use an AV receiver as most of them do more than I need. Apart from that do AV receivers most often disallow upconverting analogue video input to HDMI. So, here is a
picture of my setup. There is one issue though, the
VP30 only has one YUV input, so the game consoles can only be attached one at a time.
Still not perfect, especially sound-wise. But I really like my
Festival 500. Thats why I need the
decoderstation 3 to decode digital audio and feed it to the stereo system. Later on I can just replace it with an active speaker system or better.
